Since the last post describing what we're planning, a lot of you have been asking for updates of where we're going, what we're doing, and how we're going to get there.

This post should answer all of your questions. And if you have any more, then feel free to ask (I've explained how you can reach out below).

Update 1: We've Migrated To Kinsta

A week ago, I made the call to migrate the Slide Cow platform to Kinsta.

I don't know how technical you guys are with web-hosting or what-not, so I'll spare you the details.

What I will say, though, is that Kinsta is built for speed.

And boy-oh-boy, I couldn't be happier with how fast Slide Cow's content is loading right now.

We're not even done yet, there's a few little tweaks that we have to make here and there to optimize content delivery.

But yes, you can expect Slide Cow content to load much faster now.

Update 2: We've Grown

Oh happy days.

Yes folks, we've grown. We've got some crazy growth over the past year, and again, I couldn't be happier.

Yep. We are now reaching 11,000 - 12,000 active users per month.

Now obviously, that number isn't stellar. Not by any merit. There are presentation websites out there that are easily achieving 100,000+, or even more.

But for something that literally started out of the basement of my house?

It's something we can all be proud of. For sure.

Update 3: A New Take

If you've noticed, we've stopped uploading weekly tutorials and blog posts.

In fact, the last tutorial we've published was a few months ago on how to make a stellar "Our Clients" slide.

Does that mean we're going to stop doing this for good?

Of course not.

But it does mean that we can take our time developing a better experience for everyone to enjoy.

We've spent the last few months to define what Slide Cow is, and we've concluded that Slide Cow, above all, is a community made for people who take presentations seriously.

Slide Cow, above all, is a community made for people to take presentations seriously.

So what does that community come with?

Well, this is what we're thinking.

Quality Above All

First, we're going to focus on quality-content.

This means that we're going to create tutorials and blog posts that you can actually make use of, rather than creating tutorials for the sake of doing so.

They won't be weekly, because quality content takes time, but yes, expect to see a more solid approach to how we structure our content.

The Personal Touch

Second, we noticed that the Slide Cow audience enjoys the "personal" types of content more than any type of content we deliver.

So we're going to be focusing on more personalized content for 2019.

Hint: I didn't forget about the Slide Cow's first Q&A by the way. That's coming very soon.

Educational Content

Third, we realize that creating and selling PowerPoint templates is great and all, but it the true value of what we make is in the knowledge gained in the process.

This means that there's going to be a stronger focus on selling educational content such as premium courses and/or e-books for 2019.

Tailor-Made Design Services

Fourth, we realized there's some true value in personalized design.

Even though I made absolutely no effort to advertise Slide Cow's design services, we still get emails from individuals to Fortune 500 Companies asking us to design their slides for them.

We did this, and they were very happy with what they received.

So yes, there is an opportunity to capitalize on here, and we will be focusing on it a little more in the upcoming year.

More Free Stuff

Fifth, I finally realize now that giving away 5 slides just isn't enough to get people excited.

So what I'm going to do is expand on that very soon, and yes, anyone who is currently subscribed to the Slide Cow platform will be awarded with this freebie.

I won't reveal what it is that we're giving away just yet, but it'll be awesome. Trust.

Tell Me What You Want!

I keep asking for feedback because feedback is golden.
