A few days ago I hosted our first ever Slide Cow webinar along with the amazing team at GotoWebinar.
We entitled it “How to REALLY Make Your Slides Pop!” In it, we covered how to:
- Design a mesmerizing title slide, even if you lack design chops.
- Take your bullet lists from bland to edge-of-your-seat exciting.
- Turn your charts into something people want to see.
This naturally did two things to me.
First, I got WAY too nervous.
But more importantly, this opportunity made me realize that I have to live up to the expectations. And not just any expectations, but your expectations.
After working my butt off preparing for the webinar...
After digging deep to use every ounce and fibre of enthusiasm in me...
After bringing in my a-game, and making sure anyone that attended the event will be able to learn something, even if they have absolutely no presentation design skills, in under an hour...
We made magic happen, and you can see that magic for yourself by watching the video below.
Record Breakers
The best thing out of this entire experience is that we broke records!
- 4,000+ people signed up
- 1,500+ people attended the webinar at peak
- 96% of attendees stated that the webinar was “Good” or “Excellent.”
- 69% of attendees stated that the webinar was “Excellent.”
Don't Take Our Word For It
Hard work pays off. Here are just some of the comments some attendees had after the webinar!
“Yoyo did an excellent presentation. Very clear and concise.”
“Thanks again for an excellent session! I am stoked to be using the tips and tricks I learned from YoYo!"
"I was very impressed with the entire presentation. Need to make a series of these, VERY well done! THANKS SO MUCH!!"
"This was a great, useful, and much needed webinar. Thank you!”
This whole thing was a delightful experience, and it definitely won't be the last. Special thanks to Daniel, Amber and Erica from the GoToWebinar team. You guys are awesome.
I have been reading your tutorials and blog posts since I attended the webinar last week. I also completely revamped my ENTIRE PowerPoint for a class I’m teaching. I’ve also been sharing it like crazy. Your advice has changed my (PowerPoint) life. I will not go back to boring, plain presentations.
Go get ’em Dana! You’ll be a PowerPoint pro in no time!
