How to Create Your Own Step-By-Step Ribbon Model Infographic on PowerPoint

Hello fellow PowerPoint enthusiasts. Welcome again to another great guide on PowerPoint! This week, we are going to learn how to create a step-by-step ribbon model for all of your awesome PowerPoint presentations and PowerPoint decks!

What on Earth is a Step-by-Step Ribbon Model?

I’m really looking for a better title since it’s too confusing to be honest. But, let’s break this down.

The “Step-By-Step” component shows a linear flow of data (e.g. Step 1, Step 2, Step 3, Step 4) as shown on the featured image.

The “Ribbon Model” is basically a group of ribbon vectors put together to represent a chain of ribbons.

Put them all together, and you get a sweet-looking infographic!

Why are you teaching us how to do one?

Remember, having a visual impact for your models is important. It allows your audience to follow the contents on the slide easier, and also allows the audience to set a sequence for your own logic. Basically, the whole point of this is to make your PowerPoint presentation / deck easy for your audience to follow, while making it look as awesome as possible!

Yep, this video is long. But on a good note, you will learn how to:

  • Make your own shape on PowerPoint (which you can also use in future presentations / decks)
  • Learn how to sequence your elements on PowerPoint
  • Learn how to flip elements horizontally or vertically on PowerPoint
  • Learn how to resize elements while maintaining the aspect ratio on PowerPoint
  • Get an idea on how to bring elements forwards and move them back on PowerPoint
  • And much, much more!

I know that some of you are basically going to say “BUT YOU CAN MAKE THAT RIBBON SHAPE EASILY BY MAKING THE TRIANGLES WHITE!” Yes, absolutely, you can. But then, if you had any image or any color behind the ribbon, the white part wouldn’t be transparent!

I’m pretty sure that this is something you can impress your boss, colleagues and clients with. So, please, practice with us!
